I love, love, love taking maternity photos. It’s such a small window of time in a couples lives, a moment suspended between what was, and what will be, while being such an amazingly beautiful moment all of it’s own. I’m constantly amazed by the human body, and what it can do, the changes in our shape as our bodies protect, and nourish our babies we have never met, but know so well. Rachel and Anthony are expecting baby #3 in just a few short weeks. I’m so glad they made the decision to have this amazing moment in their lives captured to cherish forever, and I’m so thankful to be trusted to capture it for them.

I met up with Renae , Travis and Chloe at the park for some family photos to capture their last weeks as a family of three. Chloe is adorable. Such a happy, easy going little girl, secure in her parents love and in just a few more weeks she will become a wonderful big sister. I can’t wait to meet her new little baby brother in a few weeks time.

I was so excited when Danni told me bubby #2 was on the way. I photographed Tor and Danni’s wedding last year (HERE) and feel so privileged to be asked to capture this amazing time in their little families lives. I’m sure Maxx will be a wonderful big brother to his new baby brother or sister in a few weeks time. Thanks Danni and Tor for coming in to see me, it was so lovely to catch up with you all again. x

I loved meeting Melissa, Dean and their gorgeous children for their maternity session. (oops, and Nanna too! Sorry Nanna!) Just seven days later, Sophia Daisy arrived. Congratulations to you all, I can’t wait to meet Sophia and see you all again.

Meet Ria, Paul and their first baby (their fur baby) Ainsley. Ria is looking absolutely amazing. I had a wonderful morning in the studio with this stunning little family, capturing their connection, love and excitement at the impending arrival of their new little one in a few weeks time. Ria and Paul, thank you for being so relaxed and fun. And a big thank you to Ainsley for being such a good boy too!

Pregnancy will always amaze me. Even after carrying three of my own babies I will never tire of the amazing miracle of new life forming and how our bodies adapt and change to protect and provide for our cherished little ones as they form and grow. It amazes me, that 8 or 9 months ago this little person didn’t exist, and now here they are, almost ready to meet the world, with every little body part perfectly formed and a spirit of their own.
Claire’s beautiful sisters organised her maternity session as a surprise for her baby shower. They came along with her, and it we had a great time in the studio capturing this little miracle in his or her last weeks on the inside.
