Meet adorable little Ben. One little boy who loves the beach. I met him and his mummy and daddy on the beach for some early morning play time and he had a wonderful time. We certainly wore him out until he was ready for his nap. He’s such a happy, content little boy, who just adores being outside, and I adored spending my morning with him too.

Day 8: An afternoon on the beach again. It was freezing! But that didn’t stop the boys. They still had a ball playing together before heading home for hot showers. I didn’t take my camera along to the beach as it was a spur of the moment play, so these were taken on my phone.

Day 6: Splashing and playing at the beach, and not one argument between them all. Bliss!

A few months ago I donated a voucher to a fundraiser for a gorgeous little local girl Amelia (great name huh!) You can read more about Amelia, her family and her journey at her facebook page here. A beautiful mummy named Raelene, with two of the spunkiest and fun boys around, Will and Daniel, purchased the voucher, and lucky me got to spend a perfect Saturday morning at the beach with them and their cousin. Best job ever? You bet!

Raelene, thank you so much for helping me support Amelia’s Project, and for letting me meet your beautiful boys, and capture this amazing time of their lives. I hope you love your sneak peek, your full gallery details will be on their way to you very soon.family photos and portraits on the beach mornington peninsula

Nadia and Rob are miles away from their home in Canada, but are here awaiting the birth of a very special little bub (who is keeping them all waiting). They wanted a couples session on the beach to remember their Aussie holiday. I had such a great time for this gorgeous couple, who were even game enough to braved the icy water. I guess we Aussies don’t really know cold!

This beautiful family were fresh off the plane from England. Kelly, Rupert and their gorgeous little ones Freddie and Jemima were here to spend Christmas with family on the Mornington Peninsula. We split their session between the studio and the beach, and captured some gorgeous fun images of them all. As these were intended to be surprise presents for family, I couldn’t blog them before Christmas (would not want to ruin the surprise!), but can happily share them now. I’m smiling looking back at their images, remembering the fun we all had. Freddie’s beautiful laugh, his adorable English accent, and Jemima’s gorgeous little tongue that kept finding it’s way out when she was happy and excited. I know I’ve said it before, but I really do feel so blessed to do this for a living. Each week I meet new clients, who a few hours later I am lucky enough to regard as friends. I feel honoured that families and children allow me to see and capture the soul, the spirit and the love in them and the connection and bond with those they love most. So a big thank you, not just to Kelly, Rupert, Freddie and Jemima, but to all of you who have chosen me to capture your precious memories over the years – it truly is a privilege.

What a gorgeous morning to be on the beach. We were out early before the heat of the day really took hold, although it was still pretty warm and lovely to have a paddle in the water. I’m sure Mark, Therese and Harley didn’t mind at all, and lapped it up while they could. Tomorrow they fly back home to Switzerland…. and a slightly different climate!

Mark and Therese, thank you for such a great morning, it was lovely to meet you all. I hope your trip home is as easy as possible. I’ll send through the details for your full gallery very soon.

I look forward to November. Lots of fun things happen in November. The weather starts to get nicer, summer and Christmas draw nearer, my biggest boy has his birthday, and Charlie comes to visit me. Every year from the time she was a tiny dot, I’ve had the privilege of taking her photos. And it really is such a privilege. She’s a beautiful little girl, happy, carefree and sweet to the core… and I’m sure she gets faster every year! Charlie, Kate and Shane, I loved seeing you all again and spending the afternoon with you. Thank you for choosing me to capture your family in this moment. xx
