I’ve been meaning to share some photos of the beautiful products I supply for ages, and I’m finally getting around to it. I’ve spent a lot of time over the years researching and sampling many, products and suppliers to make sure that I’m 100% happy with those I offer. While I absolutely LOVE photographing and interacting with babies, children and families and meeting gorgeous new friends every week, I equally LOVE handing over your beautiful memories knowing that they not only look wonderful for you to share with your friends and family, but also that they will be protected and preserved for many, many years to come.

So first up, the Gallery Album. These are gorgeous. They are made to your specifications. You can choose the cover from a huge range of fabrics and leathers, and also choose whether you’d like black or white pages.

Storybooks. These are all made to suit your individual needs. The hard cover can feature one of your favourite photos from your session. The pages are thick and one of the things I love most about them, is the special binding, allowing the book to open up and lay flat, so you can see your whole image, and not loose part of your photo down into the spine of the book, or feel like you have to bend the book to see it all.

These are one of my very favourite things at the moment. One of your images from your session is printed onto the box, and then inside are 15 more images, all matted and ready to pop into a frame. It gives you so much freedom to alternate  your display images, while still being able to store and flip through the rest. The actual box is an amazing canvas artwork itself and looks stunning stood on a table, mantle or shelf. It’s hard to tell scale here, but this is huge too. Did I mention I love it?

Cards, invitations, birth announcements… you name it, it can be made. They not only look beautiful, but make life so much easier too!

For over three years I have been blessed to be able to run my business from home. I had a set up and a system that worked wonderfully well, for me, for my family and for my clients. But I knew the time was coming to move on. My business was outgrowing the set up I had, and with my very own little people growing bigger, making more noise and making more mess, well we were realising the day was coming that we would need to reclaim the space my studio was taking up as family space. I tossed around the prospect of a commercial shopfront for a long time, but I always came back to the same deciding factors. I really love being able to work around my children. Yes it means I have to work very unconventional hours (no those emails going out this week marked 2.30am have not been clock errors!) Every thing I do is scheduled! I get up early and check my emails and start to organise my working day before waking my children. But then I’m there for them to get them off to school. I’m there for Amelia to play and teach and bond with her during the morning. I’ll answer phone calls and chat to clients while she plays happily beside me. When she goes down for her nap I hit the computer and work, work, work until she wakes. We collect the boys from school. Some afternoons we’ll run errands and make deliveries. We make snacks, read readers, work on projects, talk about what happened at school. They’ll ride their bikes and play outside while I organise dinner. After dinner, baths, some snuggles on the couch (asking them to brush their teeth about 16 times!)  and good night kisses I make a cuppa and head to the office to work – until late. Lucky for me I’m a night owl. While they are very unconventional hours and a really long day, it just works for me and my family. I’m not ready to put Amelia into childcare more than the one day she already goes. She’s our last baby and I want to savour these years with her. There’s no way I could take her into a shop with me all day. And so we come back to working from home and all the benefits that has for us for the time being. And back to outgrowing the current set up. The solution… my ever so talented hubby, a handful of wonderful friends and a couple of tradesmen set to work renovating. And I now have the perfect balance between work and family life. A space that is perfect. It’s private, comfortable and homely just like my previous set up. It’s detached from my house, but still at home. It’s a dedicated space for my work, but somewhere I can turn off the mummy and be the professional. While it’s not completely finished (just a few final touches to go) it has a beautiful warm, peaceful feel to it. It’s my happy place.

So come on in and take a peek  - you’ll have to make your own coffee though, unless you come to visit in real life :)

The shooting area is behind me… I didn’t bother taking photos of that, because it looks different depending on the set up anyway.

Do you love it as much as I do. My hubby is a clever man huh!
