I still have a stack of workshop photos to get around to blogging, but wanted to share some of the gorgeous little people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting since I arrived back home.
This little family was the first official family session in my new studio – whoot! And what an adorable family they were! Caden must be one of the most placid and smiley baby’s I’ve ever met. His sweet nature just shines through even at this early age. His sister Neisha is equally as adorable, and so good with her little brother.
Leigh and Melina, thank you for making the trip down here! It was a pleasure to spend the morning with you all. I hope you love your full gallery as much as I do.

Quiet here means it’s busy behind the scenes! After landing back in Melbourne things have been a bit of a whirlwind, and I feel like I’m just starting to sort myself out again. While I was away there was a lot of progress happening on the new studio, and my good hubby kept me up to date with lots of picture messages on my phone. So I got home to find it 90% complete, and I am in love with my new space and couldn’t wait to move in (that’s a whole new post coming soon). I’ve been busy working on a large family session, which I’d love to share with you all, but it’s a bit of a secret for a while longer, as it’s a birthday present for a very special someone and I’d hate to be the one to let the cat out of the bag so to speak. So I will share that session once it’s all out in the open. And I’ve also been working hard on some commercial sessions, but they’re not really suitable for sharing here either… so I know it will make you sad (not!) to see some more workshop photos instead. There are more coming. I know I said that in my last post, and has been a while… but they are coming, and hopefully soon! Please bear with me while I catch my breath.

Recently I had the absolute pleasure of flying to Canberra to attend a workshop held by Barb Uil of JinkyArt Photography. Barb is in my mind (and many others!!) is THE best child photographer in Australia… and beyond! I have admired her work for years, she is an amazing, creative photographer, and such a genuinely beautiful person. Barb and her team put an amazing amount of work into her workshops. Nothing is too much to ask for. You want a horse for your session… sure, here’s a horse LOL Over the three days we photographed 17 different sessions. All just amazing as each other. When I got there I knew my friend Belinda from Garland Photography in Sydney. When I left 3 days later I had another 11 beautiful women to call my friends. It was hard to be away from my family for that amount of time, especially Amelia who is generally hitching a ride on my hip all day long, and it was wonderful to get home and have my little chickens back under my wings again, but so, so, so worth going. I’ll be posting more photos from the workshop over the next week or so, so stayed tuned to see more
Four days away from work, means I have a ton, and I mean a TON of work to get through, and I also need to blog some exciting new studio news too. Lots coming up, so pop back often to keep up to date. But for now, here are some photos from one of those 17 amazing sessions.

I can’t help but share some more images from this beautiful family. These little boys just have my heart. They were so much fun. When Lisa booked she told me that her boys were the best of friends, and they sure are. Their bond was so obvious. They just adore each other. And I adored spending the afternoon with such a warm, loving and friendly family.

When Lisa contacted me to organise a session for her three gorgeous boys, she asked about having the session on their property. Lisa and Glenn recently built this BEAUTIFUL home, and really wanted their family photos taken in front of it. I just loved the idea. Can you imaging looking back at the photos in 10 or 20 years time seeing how much everything has grown and changed. Their home and their boys. And remembering these times.
Lisa and Glenn, thank you for welcoming me into your home. I’ll have lots more gorgeous photos to share soon, but really wanted to show you this sneak peek… We got one

I love photographing older kids. They come to me wanting to do anything other than having their photo taken LOL, but they soon realise it’s not that bad, and may actually even be fun! Apparently Josh really didn’t like having his photo taken… I don’t know. I think he’s a bit of a natural, and despite his best efforts I got quite a few smiles and even laughter. And Teneaha, isn’t she just stunning.
Thank you Jennie. I just adored your family, and loved spending the afternoon with you all. I hope you love your full gallery as much as I do.

Well first up is Caeden, then big brother Harrison, and then sweet little Ava. I’ve had the absolute pleasure of photographing all three of these gorgeous little ones as newborns. I’d love to share more about them, but at this moment I have a screaming wiggly baby at my feet that refuses to be held and refuses to be put down… so I’m going to upload this sneak peek and run LOL
Thankyou Phil and Sharna, for bringing your beautiful baby girl in to meet me. It was so lovely so see your boys again, they have grown so much and are such little stunners. I’ll have your full gallery up for you very soon and will be in contact with your log in details.

Kathryn and Tim. What a lovely couple. They are obviously so well connected, and make each other so happy. They drove the 4,000km back to Melbourne from their home in WA, to be surrounded by family and friends on their special day. Their ceremony was held in the gardens of Mulberry Hill, a beautiful American-colonial style house, and the former home of Daryl & Joan Lindsay (author of Picnic at Hanging Rock). The property has since been bequeathed to the National Trust. Kathryn’s dad has been the gardner on the property for the past 25 years! So it was a very sentimental location for their wedding. Melbourne had been experiencing some crazy wet weather, and I was just a tiny bit worried leading up to the day, but I needn’t have been. The sun shone. Oh yes it shone. A. LOT. Just as their ceremony started the clouds parted and the sun shine poured in. Everyone there thought it was lovely… I wanted it to back off just a little. It was HARSH! haha, After their ceremony, we quickly wandered around the gardens surrounding the house for some photographs, in the softer, but quickly fading light, before heading off for their (FUN!) reception at Safety Beach.
Kathryn and Tim, I hope your long trip back home was a smooth one! Thank you for sharing your day with me.
Part two will be up very soon.
