Two sweet little sisters who came to visit me on Saturday morning. Kobie was very shy, but she soon warmed up – with the help of a few of my little tricks
I am amazed that Kobie is only 5 months older than my Amelia! She’s so tall, and with all that beautiful long hair I had to keep reminding myself that she’s just a baby too. Thanks Brad and Kylee, was a pleasure spending the morning with you all.

Meet Arlo. He was 8 days old when he came to visit me, and all 10lb’s of him are just delicious. Yes 10lb. Well when you’re daddy is 7ft tall you’re not going to be on the petite side! Arlo’s daddy plays basket ball for the Boomers, so they knew they wanted the basket ball incorporated into his photos. I just love the idea. Just look at Arlo’s tiny hand next to David’s huge hand. Amazing to think some day those tiny fingers will probably be just as big. He’s such a content little guy, he just melts me.
Dave and Nerida, he’s just adorable. Congratulations and thank you for bringing him in to see me.
Meet Lana Belle. Isn’t she as pretty as her name. It was a delight to spend Saturday morning with her and her lovely parents. Melissa and Nathan, thank you for bringing Lana in to meet me, it was a pleasure to meet you all and capture some beautiful memories for you. Enjoy your sneak peek, I’ll have your full gallery details for you very soon.
Newborns. Is there a better way to spend a day, than capturing this tiny window of life that is all too fleeting? Those tiny curly bodies, the delicate little fingers and toes, the skin that is just about to shed, those perfect lips and fine lashes. All those little details you want to drink if forever. Have I said before that I love my job? And this is why. Meet tiny Jasper, just 10 days old. It was an absolute pleasure to spend the morning with him and his stunning mummy and daddy. This little man has my heart, and it’s easy to see why isn’t it.
Meet my new friend Jess. Isn’t she irresistible. Those gorgeous golden curls and eyes like big pools of chocolate, and all topped off with a beautiful gentle temperment… what’s not to love! I was so looking forward to meeting her and her mummy last week for a gorgeous outdoors Autumn session. After rain, rain and more rain, we were not sure how we’d go, but the weather played along nicely, the rain stayed away and just as we were finishing up the sun even broke through the heavy clouds and showered us with sunshine. I just love outdoors sessions in Winter. The colours of Autumn, and the texture of deciduous trees and snuggly warm woolies, and of course that beautiful soft filtered light. Yum.
Mad, mad, mad with myself
June 13, 2010I’ve lost my iPhone!! We’ve turned the house, car and studio upside down three times over and there’s not a single sign of it. So I’m now uncontactable by phone until we get this little situation fixed up asap. Please email me if you need to contact me and I’ll get back to you as quickly as possible.
Thanks

June 10, 2010Isn’t that dress just divine! I ordered it from Missy Melly. When I first saw the design I knew it was exactly what I was after, and when the completely beautiful Shan sent me through some fabric choices I fell in love with this one instantly! Amelia likes the birds too, and attempts to say birdy cheep, cheep, which comes out more like “beeehy – chi-chi”. I just adore it and will be ordering another one soon too (shhhh – don’t tell my mum! She thinks Amelia has too many clothes already. ;P)
Here’s a tiny little glimpse at part of the new studio. I love it. All that white makes my heart happy. That sweet little poppet also makes my heart happy. She came out to play in here a few days ago while I tended to some emails and bits and pieces, and she got up to mischief. Typical toddler she wants whatever I have. I’ve mastered typing while having one eye on her, and blocking the cupboards and draws of the buffet with my legs at the same time. (lucky for me multitasking is my speciality!) She’s crazy about the mouse for my computer. She was running up and down the couch with the mouse in one hand and a playing card in the other, squealing in delight as I tried to follow her making sure she didn’t fall off LOL. She’s oh so cheeky, and has the same cheeky expressions as Ethan and Brett. We always thought Amelia and Ethan were very alike, and the older she gets, it’s apparent that she has such a similar personality to both Liam and Ethan. All three of my babes have been so easy going, placid and cuddly and they all also have that same cheeky smile that lights up my heart as well as the room. One difference, which I’m sure is a girl thing… she’s loud! She’s a real squealer. If the boys wanted something they would point, or attempt to say “Ta” . Miss Millie… she’ll just stand in front of you and squeal until your ear drums want to burst! hahaha. And hey, she has all four of use absolutely wrapped around her little fingers, and none of us are ashamed to admit it. So it obviously works for her
It’s nice to look at that beaming smile. She’s had a rough few days. Last night and today the worst. She’s suffering through a sinus infection, chest infection and croup. Apparently the medication she takes for her heart condition makes her more susceptible to chest infections. Poor little poppet has needed A LOT of cuddles today. Here’s to hoping she’ll turn the corner tonight and tomorrow and be back to her usual self very soon.
It’s a busy time of year alright. Things have been crazy busy the last few weeks, which is always great. But it does make life a little hectic, juggling a family of five, and a business. Once again I burned the candle at both ends, burned out and we all came down sick. Some antibiotics, and a good hard look at my business workflow, some much needed changes, and I feel like I’m coming out the other end a lot better off now. As the end of the financial year approaches all too fast, I’m finalising all the boring stuff, but also searching for and ordering new samples and working out next years packages, which is fun, it’s nice when new goodies arrive, and there are some seriously yummy products arriving around here. I can’t wait to share all this yummyness with my clients. So, that’s all the boring business-y stuff, which I’m sure is not all that interesting to everyone else, so how about some photos of a stunning family. How adorable are these brothers. I love the dynamics of a family with a large age gap between children. And I just love that beautiful soft fading light. Makes me happy
