Checking heartbeats or ‘boom-booms’ in our house is something that happens multiple times a day. It’s been a part of Amelia’s life since she was 8 days old and first diagnosed with SVT. I expected, and even hoped for the gorgeous little mummy/baby role play as she grew into a toddler. I love to watch her sing the nigh-nigh song to her dolls, to pop them into their highchair and feed them while chatting to them and asking if the lovingly mixed food on the end of the spoon is ‘nummy?’ I love to watch her tuck her babies into bed, climb into the rocker to cuddle and read to them, or walk them around the house in their prams, however it makes me giggle to see her role play extend to checking her own ‘baby’s boom-boom’. Followed up by a check of her own.

A few weeks ago I drove over to Phillip Island to assist Hayley from HEARTFELT IMAGES with a triplet shoot. Settling and positioning three tiny little babies is more than a one-photographer-job! These three beautiful little girls were born at 33 weeks and after spending a few weeks in the neonatal unit at Monash Hospital they came home at 38 weeks, and were straight in for their session.

I love the way multiples are so comforted just by sensing that their siblings are near them. These three little girls are truly tiny little miracles and I feel so privileged to have been able to meet them and their beautiful parents Paul and Renee. They are each so adored by their loving family and friends.

Let me introduce you to (L-R) Leah, Rachael and Sophie. specialising in fine art maternity and newborn photography mornington peninsula melbourneThank you Hayley for the privilege of working with you, and these sweet little girls.

I loved spending my morning with this beautiful family. Little Baylen was tiny, sweet and so content. Thank you Anita and Ben for trusting me to capture these precious first days with your little boy.

Mac and Lola have been in front of my camera a few times now, this time they bought their baby cousin Oliver with them. I have to say those amazing lips must run in their mummy’s side of the family as Oliver has them too!

Another little family I have known for a long time. I first met this beautiful family when Cayden was also a newborn. So lovely to watch them grow. Brydie is such a happy little girl and so protective of her little brother. Cayden such a gentle little soul, shy to start with, but we warmed him up.specialising in fine art pregnancy and newborn photography

I first met Jonty as a tiny, tiny newborn. I love being able to watch these little babies grow into beautiful little children.

Two of the sweetest little boys. Hugh, and his new baby brother James.

Well that was dramatic. Did you miss me? Three weeks ago while (attempting) to run a scheduled update on my blog, I somehow managed to almost kill the entire back end of it. Three weeks, tons of emails what seemed like a thousand different attempts to try something different, I am finally back up and running. A huge, HUGE thank you must go out to my wonderful friend Kylie at blog{ART} and my host.

So, quite a bit has happened around here in the past three weeks. My sweet little girl who has been a climber before she could even walk (I’m sure she’s part monkey!) just ‘realised’ that she could climb out of her cot if she wanted to. She’s had the ability to do it for a long time, I just don’t think she realised it was an option. And so, for the very last time, it was time to pack up the cot. First though, I had to take some photos to remember her ‘baby’ room.
